Letter: Harris is the civil and substantive choice

In a recent opinion piece, Nolan Finley praised both vice presidential candidates for a civil, substantive debate. He went on to say that both were prepared, could cite data and facts to support their positions and seemed to enjoy themselves.
All that was true of Vice President Kamala Harris in her debate as well, so I’m wondering why he didn’t similarly praise her. And why he didn’t suggest that someone should have poured her a bourbon after her debate, as he did for Walz and Vance. The writer ended by saying that he’d like to vote for a Walz-Vance ticket. Clearly his closest option is to choose Harris.
